Farah Khan stopped socializing

The mother of three, director-choreographer Farah Khan balances her time between work and home by cutting down her social activities.
"I do everything through time management and only a woman can do it. I shoot about two-three days a week and I never do a show and a film together at any given point of time. And I have stopped socializing, so a lot of time is saved. I only spend time with my children and my husband," Farah told reporters.
After proving her mettle as a choreographer and director, the 46-year-old is now ready to make her acting debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's production venture.

Ash, SRK and Salman may bump into each other

Guess what! Actors Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may bump into each other come this 10th June to attend the big fat wedding of Mallika Reddy in Hyderabad.
If Ash turns up, it would be the first time that Salman and Ash will come face to face in years. Considering Bachchan’s closeness to Reddy’s it is evident that they will be turning up.
In the meanwhile, SRK, who too on not talking terms with Salman will be put up in a spot. While Salman is cent percent confirmed it is only SRK, whose coming or not is in jeopardy.
Special chartered flights are being arranged to make sure that eminent personalities from Mumbai will be turning up for the wedding. Sources also figure out that no actor or personality who has an uncomfortable equation with a particular actor or a personality will be avoided at the airport itself.
Don’t know what happens in the end but fingers crossed

Saif-Kareena to wed in December?

Enough is enough! Must be the words that are coming from Saif’s mouth after recent reports indicated that all is not well between him and his girl friend of four years, Kareena Kapoor. Though Said denied the stuff, seems like the actor had enough of media speculations.
Bollywood grapevine has it that Saif will be marrying Kareena in December but the couple are yet to make it official. Mind you, the Love Aaj Kal actor was keen on getting married pretty earlier but due to Kareena, who wanted her career to have a proper shape before marriage, he had to abort the idea.
And now Kareena doing fine with her career, acting with all the three big superstars of the country, Ra.One with SRK, an untitled film with Aamir and Bodyguard with Salman Khan, looks like marriage is on the cards. Kareena too feels that she’s now in a phase where her career provided with marriage can have the same effect as it is now pointing to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s and Kajol’s career.
So should Saif thank media for this decision of his?

Ranbir Kapoor sings for sex workers

Bollywood's heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is a charmer -- while shooting for a scene with sex workers for his forthcoming film "Rockstar", he sang for them to ease their tension before the shot.
A scene in Ranbir's upcoming film "Rockstar" shows him playing the guitar and singing for sex workers and director Imtiaz Ali wanted to shoot it in a real location rather than creating sets, so the director decided to shoot it in Grant Road here.
On the day of the shoot, the women were excited at the prospect of meeting Ranbir but were even more nervous about the shoot. To help them feel comfortable, both Ranbir and Imtiaz had a friendly talk with them.
"They (the sex workers) were very shy initially. They were reluctant about coming in front of the camera... but Imtiaz and Ranbir spent some time talking to them and created a comfortable environment after which we commenced shooting," said a source.
The actor, who had taken extensive guitar lessons to prepare for his role, actually played it live and sang the verses himself, leaving them captivated.
"Once the shoot was over, some of them even took pictures with Ranbir and requested for autographs; and Ranbir happily obliged. They wished Ranbir and Imtiaz good luck for the film's success," the source added

Salman is a good friend of mine: Katrina Kaif

Actress Katrina Kaif, who usually remains tight-lipped about her relationship status, told a fan that she is currently enjoying her time with family and that Salman Khan is her good friend.
During a chat with her fans on Airtel's "Talk2Me" platform, when the 26-year-old was quizzed about her relationship, she said: "At the moment I am just with my family and nothing going on like that."
When a fan said that people feel she looks good with Salman Khan, the British-born actress said: "Ya, he is a good friend of mine."
The two were reportedly seeing each other but broke off last year.

Hrithik becomes Santa Clause !!!!!!!

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan played Santa Clause when one of the assistant directors of his forthcoming film "Agneepath" lost her cell phone on the sets.
The actor gifted the assistant director (AD) an iPhone, after she lost her phone during the shoot in Diu.
"This was about ten days ago. The pace of the schedule was hectic due to the complex scenes being shot. And apart from the huge unit, a good number of locals too had gathered to see the shoot. Bharati (Kandhari, the AD) must have left her mobile somewhere, and in all the chaos someone must have flicked it," said a source.
"Needless to say, the youngest of director Karan Malhotra's assistants was immensely saddened at losing her phone. She was extremely upset and everyone, including Hrithik, noticed this," he said.
"Over the weekend, Hrithik had to fly back to Mumbai for the dance reality television show 'Just Dance' that he's judging. That's when he ordered an iphone for Bharati, and got it especially gift-wrapped for her," added the source.

record opening for bodyguard

The festival of Eid has once again proved to be lucky for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan whose new release "Bodyguard" has earned a record Rs.22 crore net as first day collections -- surpassing blockbusters "Dabangg" and "3 Idiots".
The action-packed drama, in which Salman has teamed up with Kareena Kapoor, was released on Eid-ul-Fitr Wednesday. His "Wanted" and "Dabangg" too released on Eid in 2009 and 2010, respectively.
"Bodyguard" has not only surpassed first day collections of "Singham" (Rs.9.1 crore), "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" (Rs.8.15 crore), "Delhi Belly" (Rs.7.15 crore), "Ready" (Rs.13.5 crore) and "Dum Maaro Dum" (Rs. 6.2 crore), it has also overtaken the box office earnings of "Dabangg" and "3 Idiots", which collected Rs 14.5 crore and Rs.13 crore, respectively, on the first day.
"The response to the film has been amazing. We had estimated the collection to be Rs.20 crore on the first day and it went on to be Rs 21.5-22 crore net, which are phenomenal figures for the first day," Priti Shahani, chief strategy and marketing officer, Reliance Entertainment, said.
"Salman, no doubt, is the biggest driving factor as he has a huge fan following. A good release date is extremely crucial on the theatrical side and Salman and Eid are indeed a lethal combo," she added.
Made at an approximate budget of Rs.60 crore, the film released in India with 2,600 prints and 325 prints overseas. Shahani said they haven't yet got the figures for overseas collection.
A Hindi-remake of the Malayalam film of the same name, "Bodyguard" has been directed by Siddique and co-produced by Salman's brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri and Reliance Entertainment.
Shahani predicts that the film will cross the Rs.100-crore mark in the very first week.
"Looking at the unprecedented response to the film, 'Bodyguard' is likely to cross the Rs.100-crore mark in its first week," she said.
With an extended weekend, multiplex owners are hoping to make good business.

'Dum Maaro Dum' makers could be dragged to court

The government could go to court against "Dum Maaro Dum" to protect the dignity of women, a Congress MP said Thursday, citing Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni's dissatisfaction with some dialogues in the film.

Goa's only Rajya Sabha MP Shantaram Naik said this in a press statement here just a day before the global release of Rohan Sippy's controversial film.

He said Soni had "expressed her dissatisfaction over the stand of the producers-exhibitors to retain dialogues in the prints meant for overseas distribution and said, in the present situation, seeking redress from the court after the release of the film abroad, is the only solution remaining, in order to protect the dignity of women".

Naik, according to the statement, met Soni along with Chief Minister Digambar Kamat over the film.

He said the union minister was seeking to amend Section 6 of the Cinematograph Act 1952 soon; this would "empower it (the ministry) to intervene in public interest".

Earlier this week, Naik had called the producer of the film "anti-national" for the refusal to delete a controversial dialogue, calling Goa a land of cheap women, from the film's international prints.

It appears they "have no regard for the people of the country and their dignity, and money is the only criteria in their mind", Naik said.

Incidentally, Naik's wife Bina is on the government appointed committee, which was directed by Kamat to screen the film along with the film producer Fox Star Studios, before its release. The committee headed by information secretary Rajiv Verma, which was appointed April 14, has not had a single sitting yet.

DMD, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu, will be released Friday in 20 countries at 350 international locations and at 1,000 theatres and multiplexes throughout India.

Sequel to Namastey London

The cup of tea, sequels, never a part of Indian filmmaker’s thoughts is at its full swing off late. Vipul Shah after churning out Namastey London, a block-buster that fetched more than 140 crores is in line for making a sequel to it.
Shah never a fan of sequels was constantly persuaded by Katrina to make a sequel to her first block-buster that catapulted her position in Bollywood. It is after this film that Kat was recognized more of as an actor than a girl friend of  Salman Khan.
But it’s after Khiladi Kumar’s insistence of prolonging the story for Namastey London that made Shah to re-think of it. Known to be very close to Akshay, Shah it seems has already completed writing the story for the sequel along with Suresh Nair.
Katrina is yet to be informed about the sequel, said a close source to the maker. After finalizing everything she’ll be informed added the same source. The story for the sequel will move on how Arjun [Akshay] and Jazz [Katrina] will carry their marriage forward.
The sequel just like the early part will be shot in London and the makers are adjusting dates with Kat and Akshay as both have a host full of films lined up this year. If everything goes on well the film is set to start in May.
Wonder who would be the music director to the sequel after Himesh did a fantastic job in Namastey London. Any guesses folks?

Confirmed, Sidhartha and Deepika a Couple

After denying their relationship over and over by stating that they are both good friends, Deepika Padukone and Sidhartha Mallya are officially in love. This comes after their being together in most of the page 3 parties and events took place in and around Bollywood. Both were spotted everywhere hogging the limelight and it’s high time for the couple to clear the air about their relationship.
Sunday witnessed the match between India and England in Bengaluru. Sid and Deep were together spotted having a nice time and cheering for team India. Deep makes her presence felt whenever required for a cricket match that Sid cheers for provided she is also the brand ambassador of IPL Bengaluru team Royal Challengers.
Media on Sunday came to a conclusion that there is something brewing between Sid and Deep and its nothing but love. Adding fire to it Kevin Peiterson, England Cricket team member tweeted by saying that "Just had a lovely lunch with Sidhartha Mallya & his girlfriend Deepika Padukone. Thanks for picking up the bill Deepika, NOT!! Ha-ha ".
So we wonder why Deepika is hiding her relationship with Sid when once she openly declared about her relationship with Ranbir.
